  1. Before I listened to your podcast, I didn't even know what the term 'digital divide' meant. So, thanks for enlightening me, Will. It's a sad story which I hope will start to improve. I can see many reasons why intergenerational digital divides exist, but in as rich a country as ours, it's a real shame that ethnicity and poverty are not problems of the past.

  2. It is interesting to hear your blog because our research topics correlate with one another. My research topic is on 1:1 computing- this is where schools give each student a laptop computer to use both in school and at home. By allowing all students to take their computers home; hopefully it will help with your issue that you are researching- digital divide. My research actually talks a lot about minimizing the digital divide. Have you found any research on 1:1 computing?

  3. This is an interesting topic. I had no idea what 'digital divide' meant until I listened to your podcast. It is sad that the digital divide still exists. My students are from varying backgrounds and socioeconomic status and some of them don't have computers at home. Do you feel that we will be able to close the divide one day or do you feel this will always be an issue?
